BTEC receives NIIMBL award to host career exploration program

BTEC has been awarded a $70K grant by the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL). The grant will support a week-long program in June 2024 that is designed to introduce Black, Latinx, and Indigenous college students to career possibilities in the biopharmaceutical industry.

BTEC is one of five educational institutions across the country that will hold a NIIMBL eXperience program. The program will feature an array of training modules about biomanufacturing processes and equipment and will include visits to local biopharmaceutical manufacturing sites. Participating students will also strengthen their networking skills and learn about opportunities in this booming industry.
