Giving to BTEC
The Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) is a unique, cross-disciplinary center that provides educational and training opportunities to develop skilled professionals for the biomanufacturing industry. The center brings together industry, faculty, and students to enhance biomanufacturing throughout North Carolina and across the country. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional development courses focus on the production of biological products for the treatment or prevention of human disease, and students get hands-on experience using industry-standard equipment as part of a comprehensive education in bioprocessing and biomanufacturing. At BTEC, students and working professionals gain valuable career skills, and industry benefits from the availability of a highly trained workforce. BTEC also supports industry through its Bioprocess Services program, which provides process development, analytical testing and development, and technology evaluation. Learn more about BTEC.
At BTEC, we work hard to provide the best possible education and training opportunities for students and working professionals in the biomanufacturing industry and to meet the present and future needs of that industry. In this rapidly changing field, your help is needed to achieve our mission. Read about the impact of our academic, industry training, and contract services programs, and you'll see the benefits of aiding our efforts.
How your gift can help
Your one-time or ongoing donation can provide valuable support for our scholarship program or be invested in the center's operations where most needed, such as acquiring new equipment or recruiting the most qualified students, faculty, and staff. Fellowships and scholarships help increase the number and enhance the quality of new professionals entering North Carolina’s biomanufacturing workforce, while unrestricted funds support our greatest needs and help maintain excellence in every aspect of BTEC’s operations. In addition, BTEC accepts donations of equipment that it can use in its programs. Donations can be designated as memorial or honorary gifts, and matching gifts may be available from your company.
