STERIS presents Air Liquid Interface Cleaning Challenges Seminar

Join STERIS on Thursday, June 25, 2015, forĀ an Air-Liquid Interface Cleaning Challenges seminar with Paul Lopolito, Bruce Ritts, and Dijana Hadziselimovic. A $40 registration fee is charged for the seminar, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center in Raleigh.

Regulatory expectations are that equipment be cleaned prior to manufacturing to prevent contamination or adulteration of products. Parenterals, buffers, soluble chemical additives, and media are generally easy to clean with water, due to high water solubility; however regulated industries continue to struggle with visible residues on preparation and storage tanks. The visible residue can be tightly adhered to the surface and appears as distinct bands or rings at the air-liquid interface. This seminar will share common strategies to clean air-liquid interface residues, as well as review analytical techniques to identify the residues and laboratory testing techniques to assist in developing cleaning procedures or corrective actions to address air-liquid interface cleaning challenges.
