Lunch-and-Learn: Real-time monitoring of process water

JMAR, LLC, will present a free seminar on real-time monitoring of microorganisms in process water from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at BTEC. The session is intended for pharmaceutical company managers, directors, scientists, and supervisors from QA/QC, Manufacturing, Process Development, and Validation departments.

The seminar will provide an overview of how JMAR’s BioSentry Plus MALS (Multiple Angle Light Scattering) technology can significantly increase water-quality awareness and improved process controls through continuous, real-time monitoring for bacteria and particulate in WFI and purified water. The BioSentry Plus system provides real-time data concerning the number and nature of particles in WFI and purified water in order for the characterization and risk assessment of the water system. Dr. John Adams, chief scientist at JMAR, and Steve Stephenson, the firm’s lab manager and senior microbiologist, will review instrument capabilities and measurement parameters, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Lunch will be provided free of charge to attendees. To register for the event, contact Stewart Kohnberg of Kberg Consultants by email at stew@kberg.info or call (910) 232-0342.
