BTEC Master's program selected for NC State's Excellence in Assessment Award

BTEC is honored to announce that NC State's Graduate School has recognized its BIOM program as one of six graduate programs to have been selected for NC State's Excellence in Assessment awards in 2020–2021. This recognition is awarded to degree and certificate programs that meet NC State's expectations for quality of assessment and additionally incorporate multiple best practices in their assessment processes aimed at improving student learning.

One of the fundamental characteristics of university accreditation is an institutional commitment to the concept of quality enhancement through continuous assessment and improvement. To meet this edict, every university degree program is required to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their curriculum through annual data assessment. Using these data, programs can devise action plans to continuously improve. This recognition highlights the focus that BTEC's academic programs team gives to enabling continuous improvement in student learning.
