BPD Symposium features BTEC speaker

Register now to attend a free virtual symposium on process analytics and automation, which will be held online from 1:00–2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3. The event, chaired by BTEC Assistant Director, Analytical, Caroline Smith-Moore, is hosted by BPD, the Biomanufacturing and Process Development intellectual exchange group sponsored by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

Speakers will address goals and changing methods in analytics and automation focused on more efficient and successful biomanufacturing. BTEC Senior Scientist Ryan Barton, who specializes in automation and data science, will discuss "BTEC and Biophorum: Ontology Development Drives Digital Transformation for a Model Biomanufacturing Facility." Rebekah Wilson, senior engineer for process analytics at Biogen in RTP, will speak on "Manufacturing Modernization–Integration of Process Analytical Technologies."
