BTEC undergraduate Amanda Kaufman receives award from Parenteral Drug Association

NC State senior Amanda Kaufman recently received the annual Student Award for 2013 from the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA). Sponsored by the PDA’s Southeast chapter, the one-time cash award is presented to one student from each of four North Carolina universities (NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, Campbell University, and NC Central University).

Ms. Kaufman is majoring in both food science and bioprocessing science and is pursuing BTEC's undergraduate minor in biomanufacturing. She is also one of two recipients of the EMD Millipore BTEC Scholarship, which supports selected BTEC undergraduate students.

The PDA was founded in 1946 and is a professional society with more than 9,500 members.
