“Controlling your process” seminar scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9

Friday, Nov. 9
10:30 a.m.
BTEC room 135

As part of BTEC’s fall seminar series, Lucas Vann, Ph.D., pharma applications manager at Applied Materials, will give a presentation entitled “Are you controlling your process or is it controlling you?” on Friday, Nov. 9. During the seminar, which begins at 10:30 a.m. in BTEC room 135, Dr. Vann will review common control methodologies and highlight the efforts taking place in the industry to move towards more predictive control.

Control of biopharmaceutical processes is critical to achieve consistent product quality. While process development activities realize the critical nature of synergistic interactions between parameters, single variable control loops are implemented in a segregated manner. A need exists to develop multivariate predictive control strategies. In addition, there is a lack of ability to easily generate strategies into the process for advanced process control and close the loop to feedback.

All interested persons are welcome to attend.
