BTEC hosts facility tours, manufacturing expo Friday, Oct. 12
BTEC will hold an open house from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 to celebrate October’s designation as Manufacturing Month. The event is hosted in collaboration with the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL), PowerAmerica, and The Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CESMII). These institutes are part of the Manufacturing USA network.
The event highlights manufacturing technology innovation and training programs in the fields of biomanufacturing, wide bandgap semiconductor technologies, and smart manufacturing. Students, faculty, advisors, and the university community will have the opportunity to tour the BTEC facility and explore its catalog of programs focused on biomanufacturing. In addition, representatives from PowerAmerica and CESMII will be on hand to showcase new technologies in wide bandgap semiconductor and smart manufacturing respectively.
