The Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) cannot educate or train every student on every topic, so it partners with several other organizations to provide access to all areas of study.
BTEC is part of NCBIOIMPACT, an educational partnership of which the North Carolina Community College System BioNetwork, the Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise (BRITE), the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and the North Carolina Bioscience Organization (NCBIO) are also members. NCBIOIMPACT, formerly the North Carolina Biomanufacturing and Pharmaceutical Training Consortium (BPTC), was implemented to meet the workforce needs of North Carolina's life sciences industry.
Other partners include the Golden LEAF Foundation, which provided almost $39M to build the BTEC facility. BTEC reports administratively to NC State's College of Engineering and resides on NC State's Centennial Campus, an award-winning research science park.
