Merck plant manager shares career journey in first seminar of 2016–17 series

Kelley Brna, currently the plant manager at the Merck & Co., Inc., manufacturing site in Wilson, N.C., will be the first speaker in BTEC’s 2016–17 seminar series. The seminar is open to the public and will take place from 10:30–11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28 in BTEC’s auditorium, room 135.

With more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, Ms. Brna has worked in pharmaceutical operations, supply chain management, and strategic positions in support of Merck & Co., Inc. corporate mergers and acquisitions. In the seminar, she will discuss her career journey and how self-awareness and demonstrating adaptability through situational leadership enabled her career path. She will also share how challenging assignments and roles created career opportunities that she has leveraged to achieve both professional success and personal satisfaction.
