The BTEC academic program includes many components: stand-alone courses, degree courses, minors in biomanufacturing (undergraduate, graduate), several Certificates in biomanufacturing (UCP, Post-Bac, GCP), and both Master's and Professional Master's degrees. In addition, two BS degree programs (see the Related Programs), the Bioprocessing Science program (curriculum) and the Biomanufacturing Sciences Concentration in Chemical Engineering (curriculum) are designed to utilize the physical resourses and technical expertise that are part of BTEC in a significant way. Descriptions of the degree programs can be found in their respective sections, reached through the links on the left, the sections listed above, or from the titles of the following summaries.
Persons who have completed course prerequisites may enroll for courses on a standalone basis as non-degree students. Persons with appropriate professional experience may also enroll for standalone courses with consent of the instructor. For more information on standalone courses, please refer to the Continuing Education web site.
BTEC undergraduate programs include both non-degree and degree options. The non-degree options include a University Certificate, an Undergraduate Minor, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate -- all in Biomanufacturing. Completion of each of the three options is acknowledged on an NC State transcript.

The suite of BTEC graduate programs is a work in progress. These programs will eventually include a Graduate Certificate, a graduate minor, a Master of Science degree, and a Professional Science Master's (PSM) degree in Biomanufacturing, as well as the courses necessary to complete the programs....read more »

The Golden LEAF BTEC brings together faculty and staff from the North Carolina Community College System and the North Carolina State University Colleges of Engineering and Agriculture & Life Sciences.
