The graduate Minor in Biomanufacturing will require a minimum of 9 credit (MS) or 11 credit (PhD) hours to be selected from BTEC's graduate-level courses. The Minor will be designed to provide masters and PhD students from a range of disciplines, including biochemistry, biological and agricultural engineering, chemical engineering, food science, microbial biotechnology, and microbiology with the knowledge base and hands-on skills that will prepare them either to conduct independent or guided research and development studies associated with biomanufacturing processes and operations, or to quickly contribute to a cGMP biomanufacturing production operation in significant ways.
