BTEC graduate student making headlines

BTEC graduate student Amanda Walter is currently featured on the homepage of NC State’s Graduate School in an article that highlights her participation in Graduate Education Day. During the event, she and other select graduate scholars met state legislators, and Ms. Walter had the opportunity to discuss the economic benefits to consumers of biosimilar drug products.
Ms. Walter is a full-time employee at Merck in Durham and will complete the Master of Biomanufacturing degree this December. She credits BTEC’s Professional Science Master’s program with enabling her to gain the technical knowledge needed to understand the scientific and engineering principles involved in her work. “The BTEC program allowed me to utilize the principles I learned in undergrad and apply them in a real-world setting,” she says.
