The North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBC) is a private, nonprofit corporation created to support biotechnology research, business and education statewide.

A testament to the importance North Carolina places on biotechnology, the NCBC has pursued these goals for more than 20 years. It has invested approximately $160 million in seeding research, infrastructure and economic development in biotechnology since its inception.

The vision for BTEC was shaped using the input of NCBC analysis, and the Center maintains a close affiliation with BTEC.
