The North Carolina Community College System BioNetwork is a statewide initiative connecting community colleges across North Carolina, with the goal of providing specialized training, curricula and equipment to develop a world-class workforce for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

The BioNetwork is comprised of six centers in Bioprocessing, Bioagriculture, Bioeducation, Biobusiness, Pharmaceuticals and capstone training in aseptic and sterile procedures at BTEC. It provides important fundamental training to thousands of students who receive certificates and degrees in related industry fields, providing them with a catalyst for entering careers in these industries.

All course offerings will be developed in consideration of the requirements of the biomanufacturing industry.
